<em>A young man from Kabul, Afghanistan holds many fond memories of mouth watering smells and savory flavors of food in the neighborhood where he was born and raised, De Afghanan. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><em>He had a vision to one day bring back the same unforgettable, sense awakening tastes and smells to his life again. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><em>The founder of De Afghanan restaurants, Aziz Omar and his immediate family, soon made his vision a reality by opening his first restaurant location in 1993 in what is known as, “Little Kabul” in Fremont, California. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><em>The restaurant was named after the neighborhood which reminded him of the rich tastes of Afghan food he once enjoyed. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><em>A core and unique quality which De Afghanan continues to possess is, the ability to preserve the authenticity and exquisiteness of true Afghan flavors found within the various dishes served.</em>

We drive from across town to eat here and it's always worth it. The lamb shank never disappoints. Halal, delicious, and fairly priced. What more could you ask for? Recommended this to all my friends.
