<strong>Beginning</strong>

The Islamic Center of Mississippi is a religious nonprofit organization in Starkville, MS., that serves a widely diverse community of Muslims in the region. The old mosque was founded in 1980, and the construction of the current mosque started in 1993, near the Mississippi State University campus. It includes prayers space as well as spaces for classes and recreation. It accommodates a large number of worshipers.

 

<strong>Function</strong>

The function of the Islamic Center is to offer its members a place to practice and share the beautiful message of Islam by providing religious, educational and recreational facilities. The Islamic Center of Mississippi works to educate its members about Islam. Activities at the center include daily prayers, Islamic education, monthly potlucks and discussion sessions.

Solid masjid in . Regular prayer times, decent facilities. The khutbahs are informative. Could use some updates to the wudu area but overall a good experience. We'll be back for sure.
