Small, but a decent mosque. Finally a masjid that *actually* looks like a masjid. Came here for the Eid-Al-Adha prayer. Shortest Eid prayer ever. Parking is $10. Street parking is available.
Masha Allah Tabarak Allah
It's a very wonderful design, structure and location.
It's right at Metro stop, bus stop and intersection of main two roads.
4 Hours meter parking is available at S Vermont Ave and there are two enormous vacant land where they charge $5 per car. I am not sure if that is only on Friday or every day.
In regular prayers other than Friday they open the mosque just 30 minutes before the prayer time.
The brothers who work there are very polite and helpful, may Allah bless them and their management.
Masjid Omar ibn Al-Khattab is a wonderful and welcoming place for worship. The mosque is well-maintained, clean, and has a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for prayer and reflection. The community here is warm and friendly, always making newcomers feel welcome.
I especially appreciate the beautiful design of the mosque and the spacious prayer hall that accommodates everyone comfortably. The Imam's sermons are thoughtful and inspiring, providing valuable insights that resonate with everyone.
The mosque also organizes various community events, educational programs, and activities that bring people together and foster a sense of unity. Whether you’re a regular attendee or just visiting, Masjid Omar ibn Al-Khattab is a place where you’ll feel a strong sense of community and spirituality.
Close to USC. Big parking lot, clean rest rooms. Plenty of space for women area.
